The system is expanding, new Protocols are loading, and your next Compile matchup is about to look very different. This October, Compile: Main 3, Compile: Aux 3, and Compile: Playmat 3 from Synapses Games are joining the Compile lineup, bringing new strategies, new ways to play, and even more reasons to rethink everything you thought you knew about your favorite Protocols.
Whether you have been Compiling since Main 1 or you are just about ready to enter the system, there is a lot to look forward to in this next wave. Better yet, all three releases are available to preorder now from Luma Imports.
First Time Compiling?

In Compile, you are an artificial intelligence attempting to understand the world around you. Two players each choose three Protocols, representing different concepts, and go head-to-head to understand and ultimately Compile them. Cards are played into command lines, shifting strength, triggering effects, manipulating cards, and interfering with your opponent's plans as you work toward Compiling all three of your Protocols before your opponent does.
Every Protocol has its own identity and style of play, which means choosing your three is an important part of your strategy. Different combinations can completely change how a matchup unfolds, giving players plenty of room to experiment, adapt, and discover new ways to approach the game. With even more Protocols entering the system this October, those possibilities are about to grow even further.
Main 3 Has Entered the System

Compile: Main 3 introduces 12 new Protocols, and this time artificial intelligence is attempting to understand some of humanity's less flattering qualities. Main 3 brings the Seven Deadly Sins into Compile, challenging players to wield Pride, Envy, Wrath, Gluttony, Lust, Greed, and Sloth alongside five additional Protocols.
The complete Main 3 lineup includes Ambush, Envy, Fulcrum, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Momentum, Nova, Overwhelm, Pride, Sloth, and Wrath. That gives players 12 new Protocols to explore, master, mix, and match, creating even more opportunities to discover combinations that fit their preferred style of play.
Because Main 3 is fully compatible with the rest of the Compile system, the possibilities do not stop with the combinations inside this box. Players can bring Protocols from Main 1 and Main 2 into the mix and start experimenting with entirely new matchups. What happens when Greed is paired with concepts from an earlier set? Can Wrath overpower your favorite strategy? Will Pride end up being your downfall? There are plenty of new combinations waiting to be tested.
For the First Time, Compile Goes Solo

One of the biggest additions in Compile: Main 3 is an entirely new Solo Mode, giving players a way to enter the system even when there is no opponent sitting across the table. You'll go head-to-head against the BOT, or Basic Oppositional Terminal, an automated opponent designed to put your programming to the test.
Players choose their Protocols, build their deck, and take on the BOT through 12 escalating scenarios, with both Regular and Advanced Modes available. Your mission is still to Compile all three of your Protocols first, but the BOT has a dangerous shortcut. If it manages to Compile the same Protocol twice, it wins automatically, adding a new layer of pressure to every decision.
The new Solo Mode opens Compile up to an entirely different style of play, whether you want to practice with new Protocol combinations, sharpen your strategy before your next matchup, or simply get another game in when no one else is around. Just because you are playing solo does not mean the system is going to go easy on you.
Add Three More Protocols With Aux 3

If 12 new Protocols are not quite enough, Compile: Aux 3 is also joining the lineup with three additional concepts: Flexible, Inert, and Rigid. Like the previous Aux releases, these Protocols are designed to expand the growing Compile system and give players even more ways to customize their matchups.
Adding just one new Protocol to your usual lineup can completely change the way you approach a game, so Aux 3 gives players another reason to experiment. Mix Flexible, Inert, or Rigid with Protocols from Main 1, Main 2, or the upcoming Main 3 and see what new strategies emerge. Finding a favorite combination is only half the fun. The other half is immediately deciding you need to try another one.
Give Your Protocols Some Space

New strategies deserve a proper place to play them, and Compile: Playmat 3 is ready to give your setup an upgrade. This high-quality neoprene play surface measures 11" x 29.5" and includes dedicated spaces for each player's Protocols and command lines, helping keep the game state organized throughout every matchup.
Whether you're battling with Main 3, mixing Protocols from across the series, or returning to one of your favorite combinations, Playmat 3 gives everything a designated place on the table. That means you can spend less time figuring out where everything belongs and more time figuring out how to dismantle your opponent's strategy.
The Next Compile Era Is Loading
With new Protocols, even more possible combinations, an entirely new Solo Mode, and another playmat to complete your setup, this October is bringing plenty for Compile fans to explore. Main 3 expands the system in a major way, Aux 3 adds even more strategic options, and Playmat 3 gives players a fresh way to bring it all together at the table.
Of course, all of those new options also mean even more opportunities to stare at the table wondering how your opponent just ruined the move you had been planning for the last three turns. Sounds like Compile to us.
