Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory

The nation is in disarray, and a battle is raging between its socio-economic classes. The welfare system is being dismantled. Capitalists are losing their profits. The middle class is disappearing, and the state is sinking deeper into debt. In the middle of this turmoil, it is up to you to decide which direction the country will take.

Hegemony is an asymmetric, card-driven politico-economic board game that places players in the roles of four groups within a fictional state: the Working Class, the Middle Class, the Capitalist Class, and the State.

Every class has different responsibilities, abilities, and goals. The Working Class controls the workers, while the Capitalist Class manages the companies. The Middle Class combines elements of both, employing workers while also building smaller companies. Meanwhile, the State attempts to keep the country functioning by balancing public services, subsidies, taxation, and debt.

Players must also contend with national policies involving taxation, labor markets, foreign trade, and other systems that affect everyone at the table. Through voting, influence, political maneuvering, and careful planning, each class attempts to reshape these policies and advance its own agenda.

Inspired by academic principles such as social democracy, neoliberalism, nationalism, and globalism, Hegemony transforms complex politico-economic ideas into an engaging strategic experience. Will you fight for social reform, protect the free market, maintain national stability, or pursue your own agenda regardless of the consequences?

Hegemony: Crisis & Control

You may have led your class to victory, but the battle of ideologies is far from over.

Hegemony: Crisis & Control introduces new challenges and game modes designed to test your political and economic strategies. Crisis Response cards and Alternative Events bring greater variety to each session, while class-specific Hidden Agendas encourage players to pursue new approaches.

The expansion also includes Automas that allow players to experience the different roles within Hegemony across a wider range of player counts.

Hegemony: Historical Events

Bring major moments from world history into your games of Hegemony with the Historical Events expansion.

Experience the political and economic effects of the French, American, and Russian Revolutions. Navigate your nation through World War I, World War II, the Global Financial Crisis, and other transformative events.

The year is 2010, and the global balance of power is beginning to shift. As the influence of the United States declines, China emerges as a growing force, Russia enters an increasingly complicated struggle with Washington, and the European Union attempts to secure its own place on the world stage.

In World Order, players take control of global superpowers and use diplomacy, economic influence, and military strategy to pursue global hegemony.

Manage alliances, negotiate trade agreements, respond to military threats, and establish bases throughout the world. Each superpower has its own strengths and weaknesses, creating different strategic opportunities through a combination of area control and deck-building.

The international balance of power continues to evolve as emerging actors reshape the geopolitical landscape.

Diplomacy & Dominance adds new challenges, strategies, and game modes to World Order. Additional Ability cards, Strategic Assets, and Growth cards give players more ways to expand their influence and develop their global strategy.

Players can also pursue Superpower Objectives inspired by real-world grand strategies. The included Automas allow the different global powers to remain active threats regardless of the number of players at the table.

World Order: World in Turmoil

The world is in turmoil. Regional conflicts, changing alliances, and new economic agreements are challenging the world’s leading powers. During these uncertain times, you must identify opportunities, respond to emerging threats, and guide your superpower through a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape.

World in Turmoil introduces Event cards inspired by major developments that have reshaped international politics since 2010.

Players will confront the aftermath of the Arab Spring, navigate Brexit and the US-China trade war, and respond to events such as the rise of the Islamic State, the COVID-19 pandemic, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Each event presents a new situation that requires careful decision-making. How you react could strengthen your position or disrupt your path toward global hegemony.
