If you like your tabletop games packed with theme, memorable stories, and worlds that pull you in from the first turn, it is time to get to know Rock Manor Games.
Based in Wilmington, Delaware, Rock Manor Games is an independent tabletop publisher focused on highly thematic, immersive games where the mechanics feel naturally connected to the worlds players are exploring. Their games are built to create emergent stories, unexpected moments, and plenty of experiences worth talking about long after the game is back in the box.
At Luma Imports, we carry titles from several Rock Manor Games lines, from tense courtroom showdowns and cooperative apocalyptic survival to magical shopkeeping and fantasy adventures.
Here is a closer look at the worlds waiting for you.
Lawyer Up
Objection! If courtroom drama is your thing, Lawyer Up puts two players on opposite sides of the case in an asymmetrical card game where one takes the role of the prosecution and the other represents the defense.
Every case begins with Discovery, where both sides draft evidence to strengthen their arguments while trying to keep useful information away from their opponent. Once the Trial begins, players call witnesses, introduce evidence, and build lines of questioning by chaining together matching bias symbols. The stronger your examination, the more Influence you can use to sway the Jury.
Lawyer Up: Season 1 brings together the Murder, Godfather, Witch Trial, and Art Forgery cases, giving both sides a variety of very different courtroom battles to tackle.
Want even more cases?
Lawyer Up: Season 2 introduces three new trials featuring a Celebrity Divorce, Private Eye, and Casino Heist, plus a robust Solo expansion for those times when you want to take the case on yourself.
Whether you are building an airtight case or trying to create just enough reasonable doubt, every trial gives you another chance to prove you belong in the courtroom.
Maximum Apocalypse
Civilization has fallen. The good news? You are still alive...for now.
Maximum Apocalypse is Rock Manor Games' cooperative roguelike survival series, dropping players into a randomly generated wasteland filled with monsters, scarce supplies, and plenty of opportunities for everything to go terribly wrong.
The Maximum Apocalypse 2nd Edition Core Set updates the game with everything Rock Manor Games has learned from the series over the years while adding miniatures and trays designed to make setup and teardown faster.
One to six players choose unique survivors and work together to explore, scavenge, fight monsters, collect resources, and, most importantly, avoid starving to death. Every survivor brings different strengths to the group, so cooperation is essential if you want to find enough gas, make it back to the van, and escape alive.
Surviving the core game is only the beginning. Ready for something supernatural?
Gothic Horrors 2nd Edition is a standalone Maximum Apocalypse experience bringing together content inspired by Gothic Horrors, Kaiju Rising, and Allies of the Rapture.
Across six apocalyptic scenarios, survivors can face Cthulhu, Kaiju, Dinosaurs, Vampires, Yokai, and the Rapture. New mechanisms introduce even more danger, including phobias through the Insanity deck and a night/day event system.
Maximum Apocalypse: Wasted Wilds
The apocalypse gets even bigger with Wasted Wilds, a continuation of the cooperative survival series featuring two distinct campaigns.
Along with the survival gameplay fans of the series know, Wasted Wilds introduces new challenges surrounding exposure to the elements and your interactions with other survivors.
Still not dangerous enough for you? The Maximum Apocalypse line also includes expansions that add new survivors, monsters, scenarios, and twists to your fight for survival.
Kaiju Rising adds the Army Ranger and Scientist survivors alongside an entirely new Kaiju apocalypse deck.
The Few and Cursed brings the Redhead into the wasteland with her Curse Chaser deck, new monsters, new tiles, and a Cursed status effect inspired by the indie comic of the same name.
Time Traveler introduces a survivor who would rather avoid a fight altogether, using a Time Pod to teleport around the map. Tearing through space-time has consequences, though, and players will have to contend with dangerous time anomalies along the way.
Allies of the Rapture collects additional content from previous campaigns, including the solo-focused Allies expansion, the Rapture apocalypse, murder clowns, and gremlin monsters.
Basically, no matter what flavor of apocalypse sounds most appealing, there is probably a Maximum Apocalypse scenario waiting to ruin your day.
Maximum Apocalypse RPG
Why stop at surviving the apocalypse on the tabletop when you can create an entire campaign around it?
Maximum Apocalypse RPG expands the wasteland into a full roleplaying experience where survivors explore ruined cities, wander dangerous wilderness, hunt for food and supplies, and face threats ranging from invading aliens and zombies to sentient machines.
The Core Rulebook provides the foundation, including character creation, skills, exploration, scavenging, combat, crafting, equipment, vehicles, and more. Players create survivors based on the occupations they had before the world ended and develop their skills as they endure whatever the apocalypse throws at them.
For the person running the apocalypse, the Gamemaster Guide offers tools for building environments and creating original scenarios, along with several premade adventures that can get a group playing right away.
And because an apocalypse is only as terrifying as the things trying to eat you, the Monster Manual contains 72 different monsters, along with information about their motivations and how they can be used to create everything from individual encounters to campaign-long enemies.
Now the only question is: Can you survive the Maximum Apocalypse?
Merchants of Magick
Saving the world sounds exhausting. Why not sell equipment to the adventurers doing it instead?
Set in the world of Set a Watch, Merchants of Magick is a crunchy roll-and-write where players run magical item shoppes, craft equipment, research enchantments, and try to make some coin before impatient adventurers wander over to the competition.
Each round, four polyhedral dice are rolled and players select two to use for crafting items or researching enchantments. As your shoppe grows, you can earn potions that help manipulate the dice and stock exactly what visiting adventurers are searching for. After 10 rounds, the merchant with the most coin wins.
But business can always get more complicated. Dangerous Business puts monsters at the gates. Players equip sponsored Adventurers and increase their fighting prowess by crafting new items, eventually allowing them to defeat monsters and set off powerful combos.
Draught of the Dragons adds even more variety with a new phase where merchants can brew potions, advertise to a shared pool of customers, steal customers from opponents, or grab potion recipes offering new abilities. It also introduces new Orders and a push-your-luck Order Reservation mechanic. Running a magical shoppe has never sounded so competitive.
Set a Watch
The campfire is burning. Unfortunately, so is pretty much everything else.
Set a Watch is a cooperative puzzle adventure for one to four players where a group of adventurers must travel through nine locations and stop the acolytes attempting to break the seals holding back the evil UnHallowed.
Each round, one adventurer stays behind to rest and perform camp actions while the rest of the party takes watch, using dice and unique abilities to battle a line of monsters advancing toward camp.
Carefully manipulating that creature line is key. Make the wrong decision, and something very unpleasant may make it through. Stay alive. Keep the fire burning. Fight for the light.
The adventure heads out to sea in Forsaken Isles, a standalone expansion featuring new locations, creatures, items, and Adventurer classes.
It also introduces the new Doom mechanic. As Doom increases, players creep closer to summoning additional threats, forcing the group to decide whether they are willing to push their luck or exhaust valuable cards instead.
Everything in Forsaken Isles can also be mixed with content from other Set a Watch games, opening up even more combinations for returning adventurers.
Short on time? Forsaken Isles also includes Hunt for the Kraken, a five-round mode that cuts the usual adventure nearly in half and replaces the traditional UnHallowed deck with a progressively more dangerous Kraken encounter.
For players ready to go all in, Doomed Run brings the entire Set a Watch series together in a replayable campaign and big box storage solution.
Across seven realms, your party will pursue the mysterious cult resurrecting the UnHallowed, complete side quests, unlock new adventurers and Mythic Items, and deal with a particularly painful consequence: adventurers can permanently perish along the way. Choose your party carefully.
The Few and Cursed RPG
Welcome to a world where water has almost disappeared and monsters wander the desert. There is just one problem. Those monsters were once people.
The Few and Cursed: Roleplaying Game takes players into the supernatural western world of the indie comic of the same name, where cursed objects grant power but slowly corrupt those who collect them.
Do you try to live an ordinary life, raising barns, mining for water, and fighting off bandits? Hunt down cursed creatures and claim their supernatural power for yourself? Or stay on the move and try to avoid the whole mess? The choice is yours.
Designed for two to six players, The Few and Cursed RPG is based on the Maximum Apocalypse RPG system but can be played completely on its own. It includes everything needed to create original stories in its dangerous, waterless world, while also being compatible with a Maximum Apocalypse RPG campaign for groups that want to combine the two.
